For over 25 years, we’ve provided top-notch in-home dog walking and pet sitting services to countless families across the area. My Vision for 4-Legged Kids, Inc.
I founded 4-Legged Kids, Inc. in 1997 after nearly a decade of animal education pursuing my Bachelor’s in Animal Science at Mizzou and veterinary technician training.
When I started, I knew that pet parents needed more than just someone to feed and walk their pets. They needed peace of mind knowing their beloved companions were in caring, capable hands. We have since built our reputation on reliability, professionalism, and a deep love for animals.
Our Team & Company Culture
Our team of dedicated pet care professionals goes above and beyond to ensure the pets in our care receive personalized attention. We don’t just play with puppies and kitties all day – we see ourselves as an extension of your family, stepping in to provide the love and care your pets need when you can’t be there.
Every member of our staff undergoes rigorous hiring and training processes, including access to over 110 education modules on safety, advanced behavior, and animal health. This comprehensive training allows us to uphold our industry-defining Standard of Care. Our team is comprised of a General Manager, Operations Manager, Scheduling Manager, and Training Manager. We also employ additional assistant managers to ensure that our operation runs smoothly and our team has the support they need to succeed.
In addition, we have Team Trainers and dedicated pet care providers that are dedicated to bringing our values and mission to life. They recognize the importance of the work that we do and work tirelessly to ensure our clients’ satisfaction and peace of mind.

Technology plays a crucial role in our service delivery. We offer real-time reporting of pet visits, complete with notes, pictures, and GPS tracking. This transparency allows you to stay connected with your pets even when you’re miles away. It’s just one of the many ways we strive to give you peace of mind while you’re away from home.
Our services extend beyond basic pet sitting and dog walking. We offer overnight stays, special needs care, and even assistance with pets recovering from surgery or managing chronic conditions. Many of our clients tell us they hadn’t been able to travel for years due to their pet’s unique circumstances – until they found us.
Finally, among other accreditations, we are accredited by the Professional Animal Care Certification Council (PACCC) as a Certified Professional Animal Care Operator and a Certified Professional Animal Care Provider. PACCC professionals are certified for three years. We must pass stringent testing, which reflects our broad base knowledge of animal care.

I designed my company around a One-for One business model that provides a meal to a local homeless pet for every service provided. Our current sponsored rescues are Second Chance Ranch and Tenth Life Cat Rescue.
