Pet Sleepovers with 4-Legged Kids, Inc.
At 4-Legged Kids, Inc., our Paws@OurHome service offers the ultimate sleepover experience for dogs, providing a home away from home that’s filled with love, attention, and endless tail-wagging fun. Today, we’re highlighting the benefits of pet sleepovers with 4-Legged Kids, Inc., which I have offered for over 20 years at my home and some of our employees’ homes, and look forward to offering to more St. Louis pet parents moving forward.
A Family Affair
When your dog stays with us, they become an honorary member of our family. We understand that each pup has their own unique personality and routine, which is why we strive to maintain their regular schedule for meals and rest times. But that’s just the beginning – our exclusive opportunity includes all the snuggles and playtime your dog could ever want.
Personalized Attention
Unlike traditional boarding facilities, our Paws locations host only one pet family at a time. This means each of your dogs receives undivided attention and care throughout their stay. In some cases, they might even make a new pet friend, adding an extra layer of excitement to their staycation.
The Perfect Match
To ensure the best experience for everyone, we have a careful selection process. We want to make sure that Paws@OurHome is the right fit for your furry kids. Our request form is the first step in this journey, helping us understand your dog’s needs and preferences.
Early Booking is Key
Our unique approach to dog boarding means that spaces fill up quickly, especially during peak times like holidays, spring break, and summer months. We recommend booking early to secure your dog’s spot in the perfect Paws home.
Health and Safety First
We take the health and safety of all our guests very seriously. That’s why we have the following requirements for the dogs we host:
– Males over 1 year must be neutered and must not mark
– Females over 9 months must be spayed and not in heat
– All dogs must be socialized with kids, other dogs, and preferably cats
– Guests must be crate-trained or able to be confined to a small area when unsupervised
– Complete potty training is a must (exceptions for puppies under 6 months)
– Up-to-date vaccinations
Comfort is Key
For first-time boarders, “pandemic pups,” or dogs with occasional anxieties, we recommend getting a prescription for Trazodone from your veterinarian. This proactive measure can help ensure your dog’s stay is as stress-free and enjoyable as possible.
Trazodone manages various forms of anxiety in dogs, including:
- Separation anxiety
- Travel anxiety
- Noise phobias (e.g. fear of thunderstorms or fireworks)
- Anxiety during vet visits or grooming appointments
The medication works by increasing serotonin levels in the brain, which helps promote a sense of calm and well-being. We may not need to use it, but having it on hand makes it easier for us to administer when we see signs of anxiety in your dog that merit medication administration.
Flexible Pricing
Our private boarding rate is $95 per day, with half-day options available for drop-offs after 2 pm and pick-ups before 2 pm. This flexibility allows you to tailor your dog’s stay to your travel schedule and any delays.
At 4-Legged Kids, Inc., we’re not just providing a service – we’re offering a home filled with love, care, and endless fun for your four-legged family member. With our Paws@OurHome program, you can embark on your own adventures with peace of mind, knowing that your dog is having the time of their life in a safe, loving environment.
